This course is designed to meet the special requirements of the NSW Food Authority and participants will be issued with a NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate as well as a statement of attainment.
The extra cost of this course is to cover payment to the NSW Food Authority.
Training is delivered by MGA Industry Training TOID 21148.
Delivery: 100% online.
Duration: 4-8 hours including assessment and work based task.

- Cleaning, sanitation & pest control
- Food Safety Plan, basic monitoring and record keeping
- Role and responsibilities of a Food Safety Supervisor
How you will be assessed
The online course is delivered in 3 sections with an assessment quiz after each section.
In addition, participants will be required to complete a work based task for Assessment.

Requirements
- Students must be over 15 years old
- Students must successfully complete a LLN test to confirm the ability to effectively undertake the course
- This program has been designed to be delivered through on-line delivery. Students must have the ability to access to a computer and the internet to complete this course.
- A computer with speakers, Internet connection and Explorer 7 or equivalent, Flash 7 Player or higher and a printer.
- This program requires student to video their practical application of skills as part of the assessment process. Students are required to have access to video technology such as a Smart phone/ tablet devise.
- Students must be employed in a suitable workplace that has access to specific equipment/ resources to support the assessment process. As part of the course, the employer of the student must sign a declaration that indicates the student is their employee and the workplace has the equipment/ resources required for assessment.
Learning outcome
A statement of attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency SIRRFSA001 - Handle food safely in a retail environment (Food Safety Supervisor) along with the NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate. In NSW, food safety supervisor training must be refreshed every 5 years.
USI

Roles and quality assurance
MGA Industry Training TOID 21148 is responsible for the quality of the training and assessment that you will receive. Online Food Safety is responsible for delivering the training and assessment via the online eLearning Portal in accordance with MGA requirements. Based on you achieving these requirements MGA is responsible for issuing you with a valid statement of attainment.
Valid state requirements
This qualification will be valid in all states of Australia.
