Hospitality Online Food Safety Training

For staff, If you are looking for a promotion or need accredited training for your hospitality job then take a look at our online "Food Handling" and "Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices" online courses.  Ask your employer what course would be the best for you to do. To complete Food Safety Supervisor training you will have to do some workplace tasks at your current or future place of employment and have the current Food Safety Supervisor sign off on your performance. Use it to your advantage to show what a keen worker you are.  (Note if you are considering doing both of these courses try the Food Safety Supervision course instead).

The top of the hospitality food safety pyramid is the Food Safety Supervisor.  For Category one and two food businesses From December 2023 in all states of Australia it is mandatory for a qualified food safety supervisor to be on duty at all time.   Once you become a qualified food safety supervisor the onus of responsibility for food safety for the business rests on your shoulders so you should be able to get a bigger salary for the responsibility.  (Note: From December 2023 everyone else that handles food in the business must have as a minimum the non accredited Food Hygiene for Food Handlers qualification).

For owners of food businesses in all States and Territories of Australia  Standard 3.2.2a will be enforced from December 2023 and requires food businesses to determine if they are category one or two and then implement associated "tools" which are ultimately training qualifications and monitoring.
